Privacy Policy#

Last updated: September 6, 2026

Mensury is an independent project operated by an individual. This Privacy Policy explains how Mensury collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Mensury website, client, launcher, accounts, and related services.

For privacy questions and requests, contact mensuryclient@gmail.com.

Information We Collect#

The information Mensury processes depends on which parts of the service you use.

Minecraft identity and profile information#

If you sign in with the Microsoft account that owns Minecraft, we may process:

  • verified email address
  • stable Microsoft account identifier
  • Minecraft UUID and current username
  • Minecraft license verification status
  • profile registration status and date of first verified Minecraft sign-in
  • cosmetics, achievements, and rewards
  • saved configurations
  • friend connections
  • email notification preferences
  • account security and service records
  • voluntary donation records, if you choose to support Mensury

Your email address is not displayed publicly. It is used for identity matching, security, service messages, and optional product communication you have chosen to receive.

Registration is confirmed only after Minecraft ownership is verified. A reserved username or an early-access assignment does not count as a verified registration. Registration status and its first verification date are retained with your profile and do not depend on optional analytics consent.

Minecraft account information#

Mensury requires a valid Minecraft account to launch the game.

Microsoft handles your password and sign-in screen. Mensury does not receive or store your Microsoft password.

The website may process short-lived Microsoft and Minecraft access tokens to verify your identity and Minecraft ownership. Those access tokens are not stored. The launcher may store Microsoft refresh credentials locally using your operating system's encrypted credential manager so that you can remain signed in.

Technical and security information#

When you access Mensury services, we and our infrastructure providers may process limited technical information needed to deliver and protect the service. This may include:

  • IP address
  • request date and time
  • requested page or endpoint
  • browser, device, and operating system information
  • diagnostic, security, and abuse-prevention records

We use this information to operate the service, prevent abuse, investigate failures, and maintain security.

Launcher and client operation#

When you sign in and use Mensury, the Launcher and Minecraft Client send limited records needed to keep sessions secure, deliver compatible builds, and show whether the service is operating normally. These records may include:

  • a randomly generated installation identifier
  • Mensury Launcher and Client versions
  • operating system and processor architecture
  • the Mensury account and verified Minecraft profile connected to the active session
  • whether the Launcher or Client has checked in during the last few minutes

An active check-in is used only as a short-lived operational presence signal. Mensury does not use it to record which Minecraft server you join. Old presence records are removed after they are no longer needed for service operation and aggregate reporting.

Mensury does not automatically collect Minecraft chat, screenshots, local file paths, installed mod lists, complete log files, or the contents of your gameplay.

Optional product analytics and crash reporting remain controlled by their separate settings in the Launcher. Turning them off does not disable the operational session and presence records required to run the service.

Downloads, installation, and uninstall feedback#

We count downloads by platform and release so we can understand whether releases reach players successfully. Repeated clicks from the same browser are deduplicated using a random browser identifier. If you are signed in on the website, a download may also be associated with your Mensury account.

The Windows installer reports when an installation attempt opens and completes, using a random attempt identifier, product version, platform, and event time. A download request does not confirm that a file finished downloading. Restricted administrator reports summarize these existing service records, verified registrations, Client session starts, and recent operational check-ins.

If you choose to complete the uninstall feedback form, we process the answers and comments you submit. The form does not require an account and the feedback link does not contain an installation or account identifier.

Voluntary donations#

If you choose to donate, a payment provider processes the payment details needed to complete the transaction. Mensury may receive limited records such as the transaction date, amount, status, and the contact or account identifier supplied with the payment.

A donation is a voluntary gift. It is not payment for Mensury software, access, services, status, cosmetics, features, rewards, or other individual benefits.

Cookies and Similar Technologies#

Mensury uses cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:

  • keeping you signed in
  • maintaining account and security features
  • remembering your privacy choices
  • measuring website usage when analytics consent is provided

Cookies required for security, authentication, and core website functionality cannot be disabled through our analytics settings.

Google Analytics is optional. Where consent is required, Google Analytics does not load unless you select Accept analytics. You can change your choice at any time through Cookie settings in the website footer.

Declining optional analytics does not affect access to the Mensury website or its core features.

Website Analytics#

We use limited website analytics to understand which pages are visited, how people find Mensury, whether important website actions work as expected, and how the website performs.

We do not use website analytics for targeted advertising, advertising personalization, or cross-site advertising profiles.

Google Analytics#

We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google, to measure website usage.

Depending on your consent and browser settings, Google Analytics may process:

  • pages viewed and actions taken on the website
  • session and referral information
  • approximate geographic location
  • browser, device, operating system, language, and screen information
  • a randomly generated client identifier stored in a first-party cookie

Mensury configures Google Analytics with advertising storage, advertising user data, advertising personalization, Google Signals, and ad personalization features disabled.

We do not send usernames, email addresses, Minecraft account details, or other directly identifying account information to Google Analytics.

Where required by applicable law, Google Analytics is disabled until you provide analytics consent. You can withdraw that consent at any time through Cookie settings.

Google Analytics user-level and event-level data is retained for 14 months. Aggregated reporting data may remain available for longer.

Google processes analytics information under its own terms and privacy practices. For more information, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.

Cloudflare Web Analytics#

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand basic website traffic and page performance.

Cloudflare Web Analytics is designed to operate without cookies and does not track individual visitors across websites. According to Cloudflare, it collects a limited set of page-view and performance measurements and does not collect or use visitors' personal data.

Cloudflare Web Analytics operates independently from the optional Google Analytics setting. For more information, see the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

How We Use Information#

We use information described in this Policy to:

  • provide and maintain Mensury services
  • create and manage player profiles and sessions
  • authenticate users and verify Minecraft licenses

We do not sell personal data.

Where the GDPR, UK GDPR, or similar laws apply, we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Contract: when processing is necessary to provide a profile or service you request.
  • Legitimate interests: to secure, maintain, diagnose, and improve Mensury, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • Consent: for optional Google Analytics and optional product communication.
  • Legal obligations: when processing is required by applicable law.

You may withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before consent was withdrawn.

We use service providers to operate Mensury. Depending on the features you use, these providers may process information on our behalf:

  • Supabase: browser sessions, database, and related backend services
  • Vercel: website hosting and delivery

These providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices. We share only the information reasonably needed for them to provide the relevant service.

International Data Processing#

Mensury and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Privacy laws in those countries may differ from your local laws.

Where required, service providers use recognized safeguards for international transfers, such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.

Data Retention#

We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy.

Retention periods depend on the type of information:

  • profile data is generally retained while your profile remains active
  • deleted profile data may remain temporarily in backups or security records where reasonably necessary
  • authentication, diagnostic, and security records are retained for a limited period appropriate to their purpose
  • cookie consent preferences are stored for up to 270 days
  • Google Analytics user-level and event-level data is retained for 14 months

We may retain information for longer when required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, or enforce our agreements.

Data Security#

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or loss.

No online service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting your Microsoft account and devices.

Your Privacy Rights#

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • access personal data we hold about you
  • correct inaccurate personal data
  • request deletion of personal data
  • restrict or object to certain processing
  • withdraw consent
  • receive a portable copy of certain data
  • appeal a decision or submit a complaint to a data protection authority

These rights may be subject to legal limitations. To make a request, contact mensuryclient@gmail.com. We may need to verify that the request relates to you before completing it.

Children's Privacy#

Mensury is a general-audience Minecraft service and is not directed to children under 13.

You must be at least 13 to use account-connected Mensury features. If the law where you live requires you to be older to agree to this Policy or to the processing of your personal data, a parent or legal guardian must provide any required permission.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from a child under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data to Mensury in violation of applicable law, contact mensuryclient@gmail.com. We will review the request and delete the information where required.

Changes to This Policy#

We may update this Privacy Policy when Mensury changes or when legal requirements change. The updated version will be published on this page with a revised date.

If a change materially affects how we process personal data, we will provide additional notice where appropriate or required by law.
