Privacy & Accounts#
A lot of players are careful about accounts, and honestly, they should be.
This page explains how accounts work in Mensury, what data is stored, what is not, and why the system is designed this way.
Minecraft account#
Your Minecraft session is stored locally on your device, where it is used to start the game.
Your Minecraft login credentials (such as your password) are never stored on Mensury servers. We may only store limited connection data, such as your Minecraft UUID, username, and license verification status, to enable connected features (such as purchasing cosmetics).
That separation matters.
It keeps your login data on your device, while still allowing optional platform features to work properly.
Mensury account#
A Mensury account is a separate account used for Mensury-specific features.
It can store things like:
- username
- email address
- cosmetics
- achievements
- rewards
- friends
- saved configs
- email notification preferences
You can sign in using:
- email and password
- Microsoft
Your Mensury account is optional. If you just want to launch the client and play, your Minecraft account is the only thing required.
Why there are two account systems#
Because they serve different purposes.
Your Minecraft account is used for launching and playing the game.
Your Mensury account is used for platform features like saved identity, configs, cosmetics, rewards, and other account-based functionality.
Keeping them separate makes the system safer, more flexible, and easier to manage.
What Mensury stores#
For Mensury accounts, we store the data needed to provide account features and keep the platform working properly.
This includes the items listed in the Mensury account section.
If you connect a Minecraft account, we may also store limited metadata such as:
- Minecraft UUID
- Minecraft username
- license verification status
- connection timestamps
Session data may also be used in the website and launcher to keep you signed in.
What Mensury does not store#
Mensury does not store your Minecraft login credentials (such as passwords) on its servers.
Sensitive authentication data remains on your device.
Email and notifications#
Your email is used for account access and important product communication.
This may include account-related messages, security notifications, and updates.
You can manage email preferences in your account settings.
A note on usernames#
Mensury usernames are designed to be safe and usable across the platform.
If a username is clearly abusive, misleading, or intended for phishing, we may require it to be changed.
